How much does a DISC profile cost in Australia?
Prices vary more than people expect, and many providers do not publish them at all. Here is what you will typically pay, and what you are paying for.
Most Australian providers charge between $150 and $250 per person for a DISC profile, and accredited reports from the larger publishers commonly sit around $155 to $225 each. Debriefs, workshops and practitioner accreditation cost more. Disc Test Australia gives you a free result and a full written report for $49, GST included.
Typical prices
| What you buy | Typical price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free online quiz | $0 | A style label and a short generic description. Rarely written for Australian workplaces. |
| Disc Test Australia | Free, then $49 | Your style and four scores free. Full written report for your blend for $49 including GST, on screen and emailed. |
| Report through a consultant or accredited practitioner | $150 to $250 | A report from a licensed publisher's instrument, often with a short debrief. Several providers ask you to request a quote. |
| One-on-one debrief or coaching | Quoted | Time with a practitioner to talk through your results. Usually priced separately. |
| Team workshop | Quoted | A facilitated session, usually priced per group on top of the per-person reports. |
| Practitioner accreditation course | Into the thousands | Training to administer and debrief one publisher's assessment. |

What you are actually paying for
The report itself is a small part of the price at the top end. You are mostly paying for three things: a licence to a particular publisher's instrument, the practitioner's accreditation and time, and the debrief or workshop around the report. All three can be worth it, especially if you want someone experienced to run a session for your team.
If what you want is the insight, a clear and honest written description of how you tend to work, you do not need to pay for the layers around it.
For a team, the difference adds up
| Team size | At around $200 a head | Disc Test team report |
|---|---|---|
| 4 people | $800 | $156 |
| 8 people | $1,600 | $312 |
| 12 people | $2,400 | $468 |
Disc Test team reports are $39 a person for three or more people, GST included. See how team reports work.
What makes a DISC report worth paying for
- Written for your blend. A report that only describes your strongest style misses most of what is useful.
- About work, specifically. How you decide, communicate and handle pressure, and how others can work with you.
- Honest about its limits. No report should claim to predict job performance or be used to choose who gets hired.
- A clear price. GST included, with no quote to request and no subscription.

Common questions
Is a free DISC test any good?
Free quizzes can be a fun starting point, but most give you a style label and a paragraph of generic text, and few are written for Australian workplaces. Ours gives you your style and four scores free, and charges only if you want the full written report.
Do I need an accredited DISC profile?
Only if someone specifically requires one, for example a coach who works with a particular publisher's reports. There is no government accreditation for DISC in Australia. Here is what accreditation actually means.
Do Australian DISC prices include GST?
Not always. Some providers quote ex GST, and some add the debrief as a separate line. Check before you compare. Every Disc Test price includes GST.
Why are some DISC profiles so expensive?
Mostly because you are paying for more than the report: a licensed instrument from a large publisher, the practitioner's accreditation and time, and often a debrief session. If you want a facilitated session, that can be worth paying for. If you want the report, you do not need to pay for the rest.
